:: Out of the World ::

Yesterday was super duper thrilling!

Went to East Coast Park to spend the day. It wasn't as simple as it sounds. It was out of the world! =P

First, we took a bus from Taka which was supposed to bring us to East Coast. Heh but we took 14 instead of 16 and ended up at Tanah Merah Station! Took a cab from there. Amazing thing is the taxi uncle was doing his QT while waiting! Then he started sharing with us about how driving the taxi was his ministry... So encouraged by him!

Next, we rollerbladed for 2 hours for 10 bucks per person. Pretty ex man, but the skates were quite good i guess. At least mine was =P hehe havent rollerbladed in years man! Ever since my blades sorta had cranky wheels... It took a lil while to get used to it and very soon i was having a whale of a time! The funny thing was that it suddenly poured for like 1 min and then the rain was gone. like wooosh! so fast! haha thank God though, cos the rain would have spoiled our fun =(

Wah pretty tired after blading, then we rented a bike for 2 hours for 8 bucks. Cycling is so much less tiring! Ermm... u think so? Not exactly. Not when u have to cycle 2 people for a distance of 3-4km in 10 min! It was super tiring and heart pumping! yeah yeah good workout for me huh =P

Something scary happened during our cycling trip =( this Indian fella suddenly popped out of nowhere and asked us to buy drinks. Okay we bought drinks. He spoke to us in Chinese! Okok like wateva. He didn't leave! He sat down behind us and continued staring! I felt so uneasy. We should have left. We didn't =( we took out the Bible and read Psalms. The stupid Indian guy started saying "Ye Su" (Jesus in Chi) dunno what and finally left...like after 15min lah! Even then, he was still staring from a distance for another 5min and i got so freaked i said we better leave. Only then, when I turned around, did I realise that he had disappeared. At last! Grrrr...

After returning the bike, we went to wash up. Hungry! Decided to eat nearby, so we ate at this steamboat place run by 'china'nese people for another 2 hours (everything came in twos!haha) wah super full lah!!! But we still went Gelaros to eat dessert! Goodness me! Ate back everything we worked out! Wahaha =P 2 scoops of icecream and a waffle. Fat. =P

Last but not least, highlight of the day/night, FERRIS WHEEL and MERRY-GO-ROUND!!! Muahahaha these were children-sized mind you! Hahaha I know you all think I blended in alright, but that still was super embarrasing lah! lol. Well, you wanted an Out of the World experience, you get it lah! Muahahaha! I was so daring manz! Haha =P Well it was an ultra hilarious moment of our lives and an unforgettable one too =) hope the embarrassment wasn't too hard too bear =P

Tiring was the day, but entertaining was the night =P

Ooooh I heard Hady sing this song 5 times! Everytime he sang, I just fell deeper and deeper in love with the song! A very inspirational song that won my heart over! hehe *grinning from ear to ear*

The reason why I love this song so much, is really because Hady delivered it with such sincerity and oomph, which really "gave the audience wings to fly" like Dick Lee said! Really uplifts your spirit to know that there are people who are always there for you, doesn't it?=)

Similarly, when we are pray and encourage others, it inspires and motivates them exactly like this song did!

Love is the greatest! If we could infect all our loved ones with the ability to fly and be lifted up, how marvellous would that be?! It would be coolala!!! =)

In addition to the Singapore Idol results, I'm really so thankful to have Terence come over my place tonight =) Hehe you got to see my super crazy side again huh today? =P Hey hey, just wanna say that you are a fren I cherish sooooo much that the importance you hold in my heart will never fade away just cos we seldom keep in contact! True frens are few, that's why I treasure you! =)

Same thing for all my dear frens I get to see like only once in a blue moon! Joanna, Yue Ling, Mei Xuan, Lynsey, Lai Yee, Winny, Cheryl, Shu Yi, Clement, Alvin, and Madeline darling! Even for those unnamed, it's not that I forgot you, it's just that the list could go on and on! The point I wanna make, is that, True frens are few, that's why I treasure it when "You Give Me Wings" and I am ready to be there for you when you need me too =)

:: YMLC 06! ::

What an intense weekend at Batam Holiday Inn I had =)

The 3 days of Undying Passion really served to rekindle the fire burning within me and helped to fan the flame of passion in my heart! The sermon styles varied and the speakers had different ways of bringing forth their messages. Won't write out in length the stuff I learnt or it'd be a super long essay =P

Shall summarise it in the theme song,

The word "stained" seems to connotate a sort of "blemish", however I guess the meaning behind stain is "unremovable"? The 4Ds (Delia, Dorcas, Deanne and Dawn) were discussing this over Sat night...It was super hilarious and we even came up with some actions to go with the song (in good humour) Was just wondering if there is another one-syllabic word with a positive connotation to replace "stained"?

Overall, it was a great time of pouring out my heart to God, meeting new friends and catching up with old friends! Was really blessed and refreshed! Ermmm...took home another sore throat, though I dont regret singing my heart out to God =P

In addition, I must complain about Glenn and Luke. Grrrr those 2 horrible people tricked me today!!! Roar I had to scream at them with my sore throat! How nice. Luke. Known him since I was sec 3 and he's still as nonsensical as ever. Grrrr naughty PK (Pastor's Kid). Glenn's worse! known him since 3 days ago only and they dare to use me as THEIR ENTERTAINMENT! Very amusing hor u guys... had a good laugh at my expense? Baaah...

Lol just in case I sounded like I was super angry with them, nah. I wasn't. Super amused by how 2 bored guys can really come up with boliao things to do. Haiz. Guys... Tell me about them...

:: Off to Batam i go! ::

Young Methodist Leader's Conference! 8th Sep (Fri) 7am - 10th Sep (Sun) 7pm

Fun stuff! Didn't go last year cos I didnt wanna miss too many lectures. Though I'm missing my Semantics and Pragmatics lec tmrw, at least it's only one lec, and Delia's missing it too! hehehe

Really anticipating alot from this conference cos it's been pretty long since I last had the chance to sit at Jesus' feet like Mary and just absorb His Word. Been so busy serving and leading (I'm not saying it's bad) that I need some time off to kneel at His throne in humility once again.

Also, my heart, it's telling me certain things I cant understand. Someone so far away, someone almost forgotten, but that someone appears in my dreams and thoughts. Such is a friend I'm guilty of neglecting =(

I realised that I'm still in search of my direction and path to take. I've still got a long way more ahead of me. I wonder if I'll hear God's answer at YMLC?

:: Sec 2 Retreat ::

Thanks to Wei En, Abraham, who organised the retreat, and to all of you guys and gals who came! Thanks to all the older youth and teachers who popped by to lend a helping hand too! =)

Although it wasnt the best camp, and perhaps it wasnt as good as we had hoped it might be, God was amongst us =)

I can't tell you I wasn't stressed, I can't lie that everything went fine, neither can I pretend I didnt feel that it was my fault the camp wasn't as exciting as last year's. However, I was very thankful all the same that when I started stressing, God sent Ben Tan with a solution. When I started worrying that everything was going wrong, Justin was there. When I felt super horrible that the Sec 2s werent finding the camp as fun as they expected, felt more peaceful after talking to Kun.

In all the thigs Satan made me feel bad about, I have confidence that God is faithful and as long as I've done my best for Him, I shouldn't believe Satan's lie that I havent done enough =) Of course, I could have done better. Well, Im learning and PUSHing (Pray Until Something Happens) =)
